Integrative Therapies to be Focus of Breast Cancer Event

The Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center, in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month, invites the community to “Breast Cancer Health & Wellness: Exploring the Mind, Body, and Spirit,” a free, special event taking place on Monday, October 6, 2008 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station.

Jill Moorcroft, D.O., will discuss the new Integrative Medicine Program at the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center. In addition, a variety of exhibits will include information on mastectomy products, nutrition, and exercise, genetics, the American Cancer Society, the Connecticut Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, and Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center programs, services, and integrative therapies.

Attendees may participate in three experiential integrative therapy breakout sessions, free of charge. Light refreshments and a gift will be provided to all who attend.
