Healthy Eating Topic of Talk on Diabetes

A free, informational session, “Healthy Eating for Diabetes: Separate Fact From Fiction,” will be held at the Mercy Center at Madison on Thursday, June 19, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

 

Eileen Rice, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator from Middlesex Hospital will discuss:

 

  • the truth about carbohydrates

  • popular food myths

  • food labels made easy

The Mercy Center at Madison offers 33 acres of natural coastal beauty and a wildlife sanctuary.  Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and feel free to stroll the grounds before or after the presentation.
