- Admission Procedures for New Students
Admission to the MxCC/MH Radiologic Technology curriculum is selective. Applicants must first meet the general college admissions procedures (see Middlesex Community College catalog).
Basic program requirements required for consideration for acceptance into the Middlesex Radiology program are:
- a 2.5 average for all college courses
- grade of āCā or better (required) in Anatomy & Physiology I and II
- high school students seeking admission into the program must place in the upper 25% of their graduating class
In order for a Radiology Program application package to by considered complete, the following information must be submitted prior to March 1st.
- a completed college application
- results of Basic Skills Assessment testing
- a one page biography stating goals / reasons for program entry
Biography Guidelines
- three letters of recommendation from current and / or former teachers and / or employers or
- three completed Application Information forms.
Applicant Information Form
- a completed certificate indicating attendance at a four-hour program orientation session at Middlesex Hospital
Final admission procedures for candidate selection involve an interview with an interview committee and a background check, a Middlesex Hospital requirements for all employees, in order to do clinical training at Middlesex Hospital. Selection for placement in the freshman class is made by mid-April for the program that begins in June. Class size is limited to insure quality clinical experience and training.
