Nephrologists are concerned with study and functions of the kidneys. They provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment services. Included are inpatient and outpatient consultation in nephrology, hypertension, chronic renal failure, acute renal failure, kidney stone disease, and acid-base disorders, and therapies such as hemodialysis, chronic ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, and automated peritoneal dialysis.
